Our senior hurlers recorded their first win of this year's north championship in Dolla on Sunday, beating Nenagh Eire Og by 2-11 to 1-12.  Playing with the aid of a strong wind in the first half, Moneygall started well with two early goals scored by Eoghan Ryan and Willie Greene.  By half time the lead was 2-8 to 0-7.

Nenagh Eire Og attacked time and time again in the second half, but Moneygall defended strongly and pressurised Nenagh's forwards into shooting wides.  A Hugh Maloney goal for Nenagh in the closing minutes closed the gap to three points, 2-11 to 1-11.  However with their last attack a long-range free drifted over the bar and the final whistle sounded soon after.

Moneygall next play Roscrea in round four in Toomevara on Sunday week, May 13th, at 7pm.  Our final group game will be against Kilruane MacDonaghs.
