The coming weeks and months will see St Flannan's Park host a number of GAA-related activities and social events that will provide plenty of enjoyment for our members and parishioners of all ages.  Further information and updates on all these events will appear on the website as each draws closer:

Monday 29th July - Friday 2nd August

Our annual Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camp is open to all boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 13 and provides an action-packed and fun-filled week of gaelic games activity for our young players.  With an emphasis on maximising enjoyment and skill acquisition, it is sure to be a memorable week for all participants.

Sunday 1st September

Following the success of last year's inaugural Family Fun Day we are planning another Fun Day for 2013.  This year's event will once again include activities for children of all ages, and will also have some new features including a novelty Golf Ball Race, where you can buy a golf ball for the race to be in with a chance to win a cash prize.

Thursday 24th - Monday 28th October

On the October Bank Holiday Weekend our community will come together to celebrate The Gathering 2013, with many of our local clubs and organisations jointly hosting a wide range of events throughout our parish.  This five day festival promises to provide huge enjoyment to all, and it is hoped that many of our emigrants can return to their native parish over the weekend to join in the celebrations.

One of the features of the weekend will be a hurling challenge match between Moneygall and Templederry, re-enacting the first hurling match on record to take place in our parish, played in Dunkerrin in November 1887 between The Honeymounts and Killeen.  Following the match refreshments will be provided, including a pig-on-a-spit, as well as musical entertainment, mirroring the after-match hospitality on record from 1887.

Full details of the programme of events for The Gathering Weekend will appear throughout the parish as the weekend approaches.
