Our junior hurlers picked up their first point in their north championship group with a 1-14 to 1-14 draw against Kilruane MacDonaghs on Saturday evening in Toomevara.  Kilruane dominated the opening half and led by 1-9 to 0-5 at half time.

A long range free from Barry Ryan went all the way to the net after 10 minutes of the second half to reduce the gap to 1-11 to 1-8. Points from Damien Martin and Diarmuid Kennedy kept Moneygall in touch and with time almost up Sean Fogarty hit over the equaliser, 1-12 to 1-12.  There was still time for Kilruane to twice take the lead in injury time, but Moneygall levelled on each occasion with points from Sean Fogarty again, and then Anthony Devereux with the last puck of the game.

Our two remaining group matches will be against Roscrea and Nenagh Eire Og.
