Our junior hurlers were knocked out of the north championship on Friday evening when we were beaten by Nenagh Eire Og by 2-19 to 3-9 in Dolla, in the final round of group fixtures.  This result meant Moneygall finished in fourth place in the table, behind Kilruane on score difference.

Nenagh led 1-7 to 1-6 at half time but Moneygall went ahead by 2-8 to 1-10 early in the second half, Michael Cahill getting the goal.  Nenagh then took over and scored seven points without reply to take control of the game.  Substitute Johnny Sutton scored a late goal but the margin of defeat would turn out to be one point too many.  Kilruane's two point defeat to Toomevara in the other game was enough to see them finish in third place and qualify for the quarter finals.
