U21s Through to North Semi Final

Moneygall/Clonakenny beat Templederry by 6-16 to 2-14 in the quarter final of the North U21 B hurling championship last Saturday afternoon in Toomevara.  Playing against the wind in the first half, Bobby Bergin’s early goal helped Moneygall/Clonakenny build up a 1-11 to 0-10 lead by half time.

In the second half the teams shared seven goals, with Ciarán Quinlan scoring three for Moneygall/Clonakenny and Brian Teehan and John Joe Ryan also finding the net, to leave the final scoreline at 6-16 to 2-14.

Moneygall/Clonakenny scorers: Ciarán Quinlan 3-1, Bobby Bergin 1-4, John Joe Ryan 1-4 (0-3 frees), Brian Teehan 1-2, Sean Fogarty 0-2, Brendan Toohey 0-2 frees, Anthony Devereux 0-1.
