Our senior team beat Kildangan by four points in the Jim Devitt Cup quarter final played in St Flannan’s Park on Sunday morning last.  Moneygall started well and opened a 1-4 to 0-0 lead, Phil Fanning setting up Eamonn McCormack for the goal.  Later in the half Phil Fanning had the ball in the net again, but the whistle had gone for a penalty, which was saved by the Kildangan goalkeeper.  At half time Moneygall led 1-13 to 0-8.

Kildangan had wind advantage in the second half but missed some chances in the early stages and Moneygall were able to maintain their lead.  However Kildangan dominated the last quarter, scoring seven points without reply to close the gap to a goal, before Willie Greene pointed from play late on to give Moneygall a four point win.

Moneygall will now play Silvermines in the semi final of the competition, on Sunday 30th March in Dolla at noon.
