Darby Collison: This Thursday night Moneygall GAA Club will mark the 100th Anniversary of Darby Collison’s All Ireland success with Tipperary in 1916. In doing so Darby became the first North Tipperary man to win an All Ireland senior hurling medal. Proceedings will get underway in the Séamus Ó Riain Centre at 8pm, and a commemorative display will be unveiled. All are welcome to attend.

Lip Sync: Moneygall GAA and Moneygall FC will hold a night of family entertainment in Racket Hall Hotel on Saturday October 29th at 8pm. Ten teams will take to the stage to impersonate bands and musicals to raise funds for both clubs’ development.
Tickets are now on sale for €20 each in Byrne’s in Dunkerrin, Bergin’s in Moneygall, or from any committee member. Tickets are limited and expected to sell fast so don’t be disappointed.

Under 21: Well done to the Moneygall/Clonakenny team who beat Ballina by 1-13 to 1-8 in the first round of the north championship last Sunday. Our next group match will be against Roscrea in Toomevara next Sunday at 12 noon.

Schools: Hard luck to the Dunkerrin N.S. U13 football team who were beaten by Cloughjordan N.S. in the North Final last Friday.

Black & Reds: Noel Whyte’s President’s Prize takes place this Saturday in Roscrea G.C. After the golf there will be a celebration dinner at 5.30pm to mark the society’s 25th Anniversary. Golf and dinner will cost €30, or dinner only for €20. Names for the dinner must be given to Tom Byrne or Paddy Bergin by Wednesday 19th October.
