posted 20 Sep 2017, 16:27 by Moneygall GAA

Intermediate: Moneygall will play Moyne Templetuohy in the county quarter final this Wednesday evening in Dr Morris Park at 7.30pm. We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ronan Fanning, Moyne.

Under 16: Hard luck to our hurlers who lost out to Ballina in the North U16B Final on Saturday afternoon. We are very proud of the lads for putting in such effort this year and digging deep on more than one occasion to reach the North Final.

We have a small group of U16's and relied heavily on our u14 players all through the year. It's not always easy when two clubs amalgamate but this group worked well together and earned their place in the final.

Thanks to every one of the players and mentors for all the work they put in. A special thanks to Kevin Maher who coached the lads this year and a was great influence on the players. His experience was very valuable to the group. We wish Ballina the best of luck in the county series and we look forward to next season.

Under 13: We received a walkover from Borrisokane last week in the U13 Plate. Our next match will be against Kilruane in Cloughjordan this Wednesday evening.

Under 11: We were scheduled to play Nenagh on Monday evening in the U11 Plate competition. Our next match is due to be against Roscrea this Friday evening in Roscrea.

Under 10: Our U10 team played in the Mick Prior Hurling Tournament in Borrisoleigh on Saturday morning. In the league section of the competition we defeated Loughmore and Moycarkey and were narrowly defeated by Holycross. This qualified us for the shield final, where we overcame JK Brackens.  Many thanks to Borris-Ileigh GAA for a great tournament, and well done to all our players and coaches.

Under 8: Well done to our U8s who travelled to Dr Morris Park Thurles last Friday evening for a hurling blitz. We played against Upperchurch, Moyne and Moycarkey in three very competitive games. It was a very enjoyable evening of hurling which was finished under the lights.

Little All Stars: On Saturday morning 13 of our U6 boys and girls travelled to Ballyskenagh. We had two teams with both teams playing well. A special thanks to Ballyskenagh for having us, and also to our own parents and coaches.

Lotto: Our jackpot has now reached €5150. You can buy your tickets for just €2 each on our website Many thanks to all our lotto players and promoters for your continued support.
