News Update 2/6/14

posted 2 Jun 2014, 10:24 by Moneygall GAA
Senior: Our senior team will play Ballina in the second round of the north championship this Saturday evening in Nenagh.  Moneygall must win this match to avoid elimination from the competition.

Junior: Our junior hurlers will play Kilruane MacDonaghs in the first round of the upcoming north championship.  We will also play Knockshegowna, Toomevara, Borris-Ileigh and Templederry in the group stages.  Training continues for all adult players on Tuesday and Friday nights.

Tipperary Draw: The first draw of the 2014/2015 year will take place on Friday June 13th.  For €100 you will be entered in 12 monthly draws and 30 weekly lotto draws, with two cars to be won each month as well as numerous €500 prizes.  Many thanks to everyone who has joined the draw so far.  Anybody who wishes to join can still do so by contacting any of the club committee.

Exams: We wish all our young hurlers and camogie players who are beginning their Leaving Cert or Junior Cert exams this Wednesday the very best of luck over the next few weeks.

Black & Reds: The Black & Red Golf Society had their most recent outing in Rathdowney on May 17th last.  The event was won by Denis Dwyer, with Michael Dwyer in second place and Paddy Byrne third.  Our next outing will be to East Clare Golf Club on June 14th.
Congrats to Tom Byrne who was the winner of the Honeymount Cup recently, and to Fabian Jones who won the Junior Scratch Cup in Roscrea G.C.
