Intermediate: It is expected that Moneygall will be in county championship action this weekend – see fixture list for details. We finished our county league campaign last Friday evening with a 2-14 to 1-14 win against Clonakenny. This win means that we will play in Division 3 again next year.

Minor: Hard luck to the Moneygall/Clonakenny minor hurlers who were beaten by a strong Borrisokane team in the north semi final last Thursday evening in Cloughjordan, on a 3-16 to 2-10 scoreline.

Under 16: We play our north semi final against Silvermines on Monday evening in St Flannan's Park at 6.30pm - see Match Results section for details.

Under 14: Well done to Sean Kenneally who was part of the Tipperary panel that contested the Sonny Walsh Tournament in Waterford last Saturday week.

Under 13: Moneygall/Clonakenny had a good win over Portroe in the U13 Plate competition last week. Our next match will be away to Burgess this Wednesday evening at 6.30pm. Training continues for U13s and U14s this Wednesday at 6.30pm.

Under 12:
Our Joe Donnelly Memorial Tournament took place on Saturday 26th August in St Flannan's Park, with Newport, Shinrone, Boherlahan and Moneygall taking part. Every team played each other in a round robin format, followed by the Cup and Shield finals
.
All games were very competitive.  Moneygall lost our first game to Shinrone, with Newport and Boherlahan drawing. We then went on to beat Newport, and Boherlahan beat Shinrone. Boherlahan then beat Moneygall in the final group game, and Shinrone beat Newport.  Shinrone came out strongly in the Cup final scoring early goals, and went on to beat Boherlahan to claim the Joe Donnelly Cup. Moneygall took on Newport in the Shield final and won the Shield in a hard fought game.
Congratulations to Shinrone on their Cup victory and well done to the Moneygall team on winning the Shield. Gearóid Maher from Shinrone was named Player of the Tournament. The Cup and Shield were presented by Pat Donnelly. Thanks to Pat and Alison for attending and presenting the trophies.
Thanks to Boherlahan, Newport and Shinrone for taking part. Thanks to our U12 coaches for organising everything so well, and to our referees Stephen Kenny and Philip Bergin. Thanks to everyone that helped with catering or baking, and to everyone who supported the teams.  Thanks to Sandra Quinlan for her photography, and to Michael Sullivan for having the pitch in great condition once again. And thanks to all our players who worked so hard all year.

Under 11: Our next match in the U11 Plate competition will be against Kilruane, this Thursday at 6.30pm in Cloughjordan.

Juveniles: Last week our underage teams were busy, with our U10 and U9 players travelling to Ballina on Monday evening, and our U6s were in Dr Morris Park for a blitz on Wednesday. Well done to all our young players for their performances. A date will soon be announced for our U10 Parish League. This blitz will cater for boys and girls born between 2007 and 2010.
