AGM: Our Annual General Meeting took place in the Séamus Ó Riain Centre on Friday night last. Chairman Pat Sheedy opened the meeting and having welcomed all in attendance, got proceedings underway. He called on Secretary Kevin Maher and Treasurer Pat Murray to deliver their Annual Reports, following which both were complimented for their work.

In his Chairman’s Address, Pat described 2016 as a year of highs and lows for the club. He spoke of the highlights, including the double success of the minor team, the busy year in the juvenile club with the memorable Féile na nGael weekend and the U12 North B title win, the Darby Collison Centenary Celebration Night, and the launch of the 5 Year Club Plan in March. He also spoke of areas where our club can improve in the coming year.

He thanked the club officers, the sub-committees, the field officer Mick Sullivan, the numerous sponsors of the Lip Sync fundraiser, the hard-working lotto promoters, and all our volunteers for all their work, and everyone who helped the club in any way this year. He finished his address by looking ahead to 2017 with optimism, a year where progress can be made on and off the field.

There followed a progress report on the development of the second field, which has seen significant progress in the planning stages over the Autumn, and will see further advancement early in the new year.
