Juvenile Hurling: The hurling championships start for both our U12s and U14s this week. The U12s played Ballina on Monday evening, while the U14s travel to play Roscrea on Wednesday at 6.30pm. These results and all our results throughout the summer will appear on our website www.moneygall.gaa.ie. Best of luck to all our players for the championships.

Under 8: Our U8s played in a hurling blitz in Newport on Saturday. We played against Newport, Ballinahinch and Kilruane. This was a very good blitz where we competed well. Well done to all our players, and thanks to the Newport club for hosting the event.

Under 21: Moneygall/Clonakenny will contest the North U21A hurling championship this year, which is scheduled to get underway next month. We will contest a group of three along with Borris-Ileigh and Kildangan, who will play each other in the first group match.

Camogie: Best of luck to team captain Mary Ryan, Mairead Teehan and the Tipperary camogie team in the All Ireland championship that gets underway this weekend. Tipp play Cork in their first group match on Saturday afternoon in The Ragg.

Cúl Camp: This year’s Cúl Camp will run from Monday 24th to Friday 28th July. Registration will cost €60 for one child, €50 for a second child and €40 for any third or subsequent child. As usual each child will receive a playing kit and gear bag. The Camp is open to children who have completed one year in primary school, up to 13 years old.
To book your place in the Cúl Camp please book online at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. Please book as early as possible to ensure your child’s playing kit will be available at start of the week. There is a new kit this year, with a new type jersey, top and kitbag. If you have any questions please contact juvenile secretary John Bolger.

Exams: Best of luck to all our young hurlers and camogie players who begin their Leaving Cert and Junior Cert exams this week.

Lotto: Our jackpot has now reached €2900. You can buy your tickets for just €2 each through the Club Lotto section of our website. Many thanks to all our lotto players and promoters for your continued support.

Black & Red Golf: The results of our latest society outing to Rathdowney G.C. on Saturday 13th May: 1 – Stephen Flaherty (Captain); 2 – Kevin McCormack; 3 – Tom Byrne; First Nine – Pat Sheedy; Second Nine – Paddy Bergin; Nearest Pin – Jack Maher, Kevin McCormack Snr. Our next outing will be in Tullamore G.C. on 2nd July. The draw for the Honeymount Cup will be made this week and published in next week’s notes.
