The Tim Liffey Tournament took place on Saturday morning last in St Flannan's Park with 3 clubs taking part - Portroe, Loughmore Castleiney and Moneygall/Clonakenny.
The morning started with Moneygall/Clonakenny victorious over Loughmore. Then Loughmore took on Portroe, with Portroe coming out on top.

Moneygall/Clonakenny then played Portroe in the final. It was a very close game with both teams trading scores throughout. The game went to extra time (0-6 to 0-6) after a number of great saves from Moneygall/Clonakenny goalkeeper, Adam Wallace, who was named Player of the Tournament. The sides were still level at half time in extra time but Portroe secured the win with a second half goal to win 1-6 to 0-7 in a very exciting game. Congratulations to Portroe on lifting the Tim Liffey Cup, presented by Joe Liffey.

Thanks to the Liffey family for presenting the trophies, and to Portroe and Loughmore-Castleiney for attending. Thanks to our U14 coaches, with a special thanks to Tomás Kenneally. Thanks to our referees Pat Murray and Philip Bergin and our umpires, and to everyone that helped with catering or baking and to all who supported the teams. Thanks To Sandra Quinlan for the photographs, and to Michael Sullivan for having the pitch in great condition as always.
